Zapbox Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I access the archives?
Go to the web site, http://www.zapbox.com, and create an account. Once
you log in, you'll see a link along the left navigation bar that says
"Lists". Click on this link to see a new page with an overview of several email
lists. If you're subscribed to one or more lists, you'll also see tabs
across the top of the page corresponding to each list. Click on the tab
to see the archives for the given list.
Q: How do I create an account?
You can create an account on the web site by following the link "Create
New Account" in the upper-right-hand corner. Once you click on the link,
you will have to fill in a form with your information, including your email
address. It is essential that you use the same email address here that you
used to sign up to the lists!
Once you've provided the information, clicking the button labeled
"Create New Account" will cause an email to be sent to the address you
provided. This email contains a confirmation code, which you'll need to
enter on the subsequent screen. Enter the confirmation code, click ok,
and you'll automatically be logged on with your new account!
Q: Can anyone who knows my email address pretend to be me to access the
archives?
No. When you create a new account, you will be emailed a confirmation
code. In order to complete the account creation process, you must enter
this code. Thus, only someone who can read your email (i.e. you) will
be able to create an account using your email address.
Q: If I accessed the old web interface, do I use the same password?
You can use any password you want. We didn't copy the accounts from the
old interface over, so you'll have to create a new account.
Q: What do I do if I can't remember my password?
Select "Login Help" from the upper-right-hand corner. This will lead to
a form that will allow you to request that your password be emailed to
you.
